Our Mission
Rumi Sufi is led by Abdulkadir Dikici, a Sufi artist recognized by Turkey’s Ministry of Culture, with over three decades of experience performing the Mevlevi Sema ceremony across Turkey and around the world. Since 2016, based in Belgium, he continues this sacred tradition. Building bridges between cultures through music, movement, and spiritual heritage. Rooted in Konya, the resting place of Mevlana Rumi, his work carries a timeless message of unity, welcoming people of every faith to witness this living tradition.
The Symbols
of Sema
Sikke
Represents the tombstone of the ego — the death of the self before rebirth.
Tennure
The white shroud worn during Sema, symbolizing the ego’s burial and the soul’s purity.
Hırka
The black cloak represents the worldly tomb, removed to reveal spiritual rebirth beneath.
